By downloading, installing or using Vynance you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app. Please read section 6 (not financial advice), section 7 (accuracy of figures) and section 8 (backups and data loss) carefully — they limit what you can expect from us.
Vynance ("the app") is published by Vynci Softworks, 34 Bright Street, Kolkata 700017, West Bengal, India ("we", "us", "the developer"), contactable at vyncisoftworks@gmail.com. "You" means the person using the app.
These Terms are additional to Google Play's Terms of Service, which also govern your download and any purchase.
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use one copy of Vynance on devices you own or control, for your own personal, non-commercial use.
You may not: reverse-engineer, decompile or disassemble the app except where that right cannot lawfully be excluded; copy, redistribute, sublicense, rent or sell it; remove or alter proprietary notices; circumvent the subscription or licensing checks; or use it to build a competing product.
You must be at least 13 years old (or 16, or the age of digital consent where you live, if higher) to use Vynance. A Google account and sign-in are required. You are responsible for keeping your device and Google account secure, and for all activity carried out through them.
Account switching wipes local data. The app's database is a single file on your device with no per-user ownership. Signing in with a different Google account clears the local database so the previous user's records are not exposed. Back up before switching accounts. We are not liable for data lost this way.
Vynance is free to use with limits, currently up to 2 accounts and 3 budgets, plus a subset of analysis features. Multi-currency support and Google Drive backup are included free — we consider access to your own financial records and the ability to recover them non-negotiable. These limits may change; any reduction will be announced in advance.
Premium is sold as an auto-renewing subscription (monthly or annual) via Google Play Billing. It unlocks unlimited accounts and budgets, advanced reports and insights, pension and investment tracking, value history, credit-card analysis, receipt attachments, data import/export, local backup and budget alerts. The exact feature set is listed in the app and may evolve.
All purchases are processed by Google and refunds are governed by Google Play's refund policy. Request refunds through Google Play, not from us — we cannot issue them directly. Statutory rights of withdrawal that apply where you live are unaffected.
Your data is never deleted or held hostage when a subscription ends. Records created under Premium remain on your device and remain exportable; features beyond the free limits simply become read-only or unavailable until you resubscribe.
You agree not to use Vynance for any unlawful purpose, including recording or facilitating fraudulent, money-laundering or otherwise illegal transactions; not to interfere with its operation or security; not to attempt unauthorised access to any system it connects to; and not to abuse the in-app feedback channel to send unlawful, threatening or infringing content.
We are not a bank, broker, lender, tax adviser, financial adviser or regulated financial institution. Vynance is a personal record-keeping and arithmetic tool. Nothing in it — forecasts, insights, budget alerts, allocation charts, growth figures, pension projections or "Ask" answers — constitutes financial, investment, tax, retirement or legal advice, or a recommendation to buy, sell, hold or do anything with money.
Every figure the app shows is derived from data you entered. Forecasts and insights are simple statistical extrapolations of your own past entries; they are not predictions and past patterns do not indicate future results. Consult a qualified professional before making financial decisions. You are solely responsible for those decisions and their consequences.
You are responsible for your own backups. Vynance stores your data on your device. Uninstalling the app, clearing its storage, losing or resetting the device, or switching Google accounts will delete it. Enable Google Drive backup and keep periodic CSV exports.
We may add, change, suspend or remove features, or discontinue the app entirely, at any time. Where a change materially reduces functionality you have paid for, we will give reasonable notice through the app or Play Store listing. Some features depend on third-party services (Google Sign-In, Drive, Play Billing, Firebase, Frankfurter) that we do not control and that may change, degrade or cease.
Some features require a minimum Android version or specific hardware (for example, background blur effects require Android 12+, and biometric locking requires enrolled credentials). Their absence on your device is not a defect.
The app, its source code, design, name, logo, icons, text and graphics are owned by the developer or its licensors and protected by copyright and other laws. The licence in section 2 grants use, not ownership. Third-party components remain under their own licences.
Your data is yours. We claim no ownership over anything you enter. By sending feedback you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to use it to improve the app.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Vynance is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or that defects will be corrected, or that its calculations will meet your requirements.
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of implied warranties; in those places the exclusions above apply only so far as the law permits, and your statutory consumer rights are unaffected.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the developer shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary or punitive damages, nor for loss of profits, revenue, savings, goodwill, business opportunity or data, arising from or connected to your use of (or inability to use) the app — including financial decisions made in reliance on it, inaccurate figures or forecasts, missed reminders, failed or corrupted backups, or the failure of any third-party service — whether in contract, tort, negligence or otherwise, and even if advised of the possibility.
Our total aggregate liability for all claims is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us for the app in the 12 months before the claim arose, or (b) USD 50.
Nothing here excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless the developer from any claim, loss, liability or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your breach of these Terms, your misuse of the app, or your violation of any law or third-party right.
You may stop using Vynance at any time by uninstalling it. We may suspend or terminate your licence if you materially breach these Terms. On termination the licence in section 2 ends; sections 6–13, 15 and 16 survive. Data on your device remains yours and is unaffected by termination — export it before uninstalling.
These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Kolkata, West Bengal, India, except where mandatory consumer-protection law entitles you to bring proceedings in your own country of residence.
Indian users also have rights under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023; nothing here limits them.
